In brief
- Four well-resourced venues held the corridor before the engagement.
- Positions are recorded by an independent tracker, not internal reporting.
- Seven discovery terms were tracked across Maps, desktop and mobile.
The situation
Four well-resourced venues already held the discovery terms in Dublin's most competitive restaurant corridor. The venue did not rank on non-branded discovery terms at all.
What the period showed
On the tracked discovery terms, the venue moved from absent to holding positions ahead of the nearest comparable independent. Competitor positions are recorded from the same third-party tracker, not from internal reporting.
The Competitive Landscape
Entering a market already owned by bigger operations.
When Moolah Media was engaged in August 2024, four venues had already established a digital presence in Dublin's most competitive restaurant corridor. The comparison below is not between equals in terms of resources.
Competitor 1 is the Dublin outpost of a major UK restaurant group, with group-level marketing support behind it. Competitor 2 is a multi-site international steakhouse chain operating across Europe and the United States. Competitor 3 is a long-established, well-resourced Dublin institution. Competitor 4 is a prominent independent Dublin restaurant with its own loyal following.
The point is not outspending the competition. The point is that precision outperforms spend. On the most-searched discovery term for Dublin restaurants, a venue that did not rank at all 18 months ago now holds a position ahead of all four — on every search surface simultaneously.

Confidentiality and attribution
The venue in this case study is an established, well-regarded restaurant working with us under a confidentiality agreement, so it is described by market position rather than by name. Every figure is taken from the client's own third-party platform data.
Search, local profile and booking-platform figures are recorded by separate systems and are presented here as parallel indicators over the same period. Where a movement is not directly traceable to a single guest journey, it is described as correlation and commercial context rather than proven causation.
